Kenneth Keyl
Owner- Chairman Emeritus
Kenneth R. Heyl was born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1946 while his father, Leo, served as a flight instructor with The Army Air Corps. He has been a resident of the Ashland Area since 1947 when his parents, Leo and Ada, moved back to Ashland after World War II ended. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1965, attended Ashland College and Graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary in 1968 and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. After 37 years of service Ken has retired. He enjoys traveling and his hobbies. Ken still helps at the funeral home when needed. Ken has continued to pass the feelings of personal funeral service on to the present funeral home staff

Tyler Heyl
Owner-President
Tyler S. Heyl was born in Ashland and has been an Ashland resident all of his life. He is a graduate of Ashland High School, attended Ashland University and graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1993 with a Bacholors Degree in Mortuary Science. Tyler is the fourth generation of the Heyl family to enter the Funeral Service profession as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. In 1995 Tyler was married to Jennifer and they reside in Ashland with their son Leo. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ashland Noon Lions, Ashland Masonic Lodge 151 and Ashland Elks Lodge 1360.
Tyler enjoys spending time with his family, golf,skiing,motor sports and playing guitar in his free time. Tyler's warm personality reflects the feelings that have been passed down from his Great-Grandfather, Grandfather and Father.

Terry Harper
Funeral Director
Terry L. Harper, licensed funeral director and embalmer has been employed at Heyl Funeral Home for 35 years, since 1973. An Ashland native, he graduated from Ashland High School, attended Kent State University and Ashland College, graduating from The Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1970. Terry is a member of Christ United Methodist Church having served as an usher and on the Finance and Memorial Committees. He is also a member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge #151 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Ashland B.P.O Elks Lodge #1360 and Kiwanis of Ashland being a former President and Board member. Terry served as president of Ohio Funeral Directors Association District #2, Ashland High School Band Boosters and a former Board member and Coach of the Ashland Soccer Club. He was a six year member of the 122nd Army National Guard Band. In 1971 Terry married Sharon and has two adult children, Angela and TJ.

Heather Lashley
Funeral Director
Heather A. Lashley,licensed funeral director and embalmer, has been employed at the Heyl Funeral Home since 1999. A native of Byesville, Ohio she graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 1994 and graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. While attending C.C.M.S. she was a member of the Delta Gamma Pi Sorority and served as activities coordinator. She is a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, Ohio Embalmers Association and a member of the Ashland Eagles Auxiliary.

Myron Amstutz
Funeral Director
Myron P. Amstutz, a licensed funeral director has been employed at Heyl Funeral Home since 1999. He graduated from Ashland College and the University of Akron and is a retired school teacher. Myron is a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where he serves as an usher. His is a member and past president of the Ashland Evening Lions Club and served as secretary for nineteen years. His is also past district governor of Lions Clubs International. He is married to Carolyn and has lived in Ashland for the last 45 years.
