Elizabeth (Betty) A. Fox age 98, of Ashland, died Monday February 25, 2013 at Kingston of Ashland. She was born in Mansfield on December 30, 1914, the daughter of John and Nellie (McClelland) Angle. She had been a resident of Ashland since 1964. Mrs. Fox had been an active member of the First Presbyterian Church where she had been a Church Elder. She had also been on the City – County Council, a volunteer at the Kingwood Center, a member of the Garden Study Club of Ashland, the Child Conservation Club, Friends of the Public Library and Friends of the University Library.
Survivors include her two daughters, Judith F. (Thomas) Gaumer of Olmsted Falls, OH., Kathleen F. (Stephen) Ragusea of Sugarloaf Key, FL.; two sons, James R. Fox of Warren, OH., Steve F. (Rita McCarthy) Fox of Chicago, IL.; her four grandchildren; along with her four great- grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Frank C. Fox in 1989, her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service celebrating Betty’s life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday March 9, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Mike Parker officiating. A private family service will be held at the Vermillion Cemetery. Heyl Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland County Humane Society P.O. Box 114 Ashland, Ohio 44805; Friends of the Library Club C/O Ashland Public Library 224 Claremont Ave. Ashland, Ohio 44805, or to the First Presbyterian Church Refuge Ministries 320 W. Church St. Ashland, Ohio 44805.

I want to let you know just how wonderful your mom was. I work at Lv as a cook.. and I nicked named her " Foxy Lady" . She was such a sweet heart and would ALWAYS make sure she thank us for every meal..
thank you so much for sharing your love one with us. Our "Foxy Lady" will be deeply missed!

We were lucky to have Grandma Fox for 98 years!!! She was a wonderful woman and will be truly missed. We love you Grandma!!! Love- Deb, Chris and Aidan

Mrs. Fox was a wonderful lady. I have many great memories of Gaumer family Christmases hosted at her house and long walks in the woods with the dogs. So glad she lived such a long and happy life. She'll be missed!
