Kile (Ed) E. Maynard

Kile (Ed) E. Maynard age 75 of Ashland, passed away on February 25, 2024 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Center.

Born in Inez, Kentucky on October 29, 1948 the son of Albert and Marie (Stepp) Maynard he had been a resident of the Ashland County area most of his life. He had been employed at Bookmasters and the A.L. Garber Co. Mr. Maynard was an avid Civil War historian.

He is survived by two son’s and one daughter in law; Chris (Mindy) Maynard and Johnathon Maynard all of Ashland. One sister and one brother also survive; Linda (James) Prater of North Fairfield and Lawrence (Laura) Maynard of Ontario. Also surviving are three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Maynard is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Milton Maynard and two sisters; Bertha Goble and Alice Parks.

Funeral services will be held on Friday March 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Mitchell Prater officiating. Friends may visit on Friday at the funeral home from 12:00 pm till 2:00 pm Burial will follow the funeral services in the North Fairfield Cemetery.
