Trudy Lynn (Jordan) Schmidt

Trudy Lynn (Jordan) Schmidt, age 69 of Ashland, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 22, 2024. 

Trudy was born in Ashland on April 10, 1954 to Elwood and Shirley (Elkin) Jordan where she lived her entire life. She graduated from Ashland High School class of 1972.

Trudy proudly owned and operated the Shirt Corral for 25 years and retired in 2014 to travel, ride her horses and spend time with friends, family and her husband. Trudy was a proud member of the Wayne County Chapter of the Ohio Horseman’s Council where she was active for 14 years and held the office of Treasurer for 6 years. She has been a member of the The Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2178 for 33 years. Trudy enjoyed volunteering at the library, Shop with a Cop, and nursing home visits with her faithful therapy dog Alina. 

On March 18, 1983 Trudy married David Schmidt who survives. Other survivors include her daughter Angela Miller of Ashland, step daughter Jennifer (Jeff) Crossen of Ashland and step son Michael Schmidt of Columbus; her grandchildren; Kegan (Kaili) Terry, Kaylee (Josh) Kandel, Emily Crossen, Braxton Withrow, Nev Withrow; great granddaughter; Sage Terry and coming soon Sadie Terry; her mother Shirley Jordan of Ashland, sister Jeania (Tom) Cline of Ashland, and brother Terry Jordan of Ashland. She also leaves behind her life long bestie Debbie Baum, many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brother in laws and friends that became family. 

Trudy was proceeded in death by her father, Elwood Jordan and grandmother Edith Elkin. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Fraternal Order of Eagles (400 Eastlake Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805) on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Service starting promptly at 4:30pm with meal following from 5:30-7:00pm.
