Arthur Lutz Obituary

Arthur G. Lutz, age 82, of Ashland, OH., passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Med-Central Hospital in Mansfield, OH. Mr. Lutz was born September 12, 1931 in Ashland, OH., and raised by his grandmother, Fannie Kemp. He had been a resident of Ashland all of his life and worked 20 plus years at HYCO Corp. and formerly Westinghouse. Mr. Lutz was a veteran serving with the US Navy in the early 1950’s and a member of Ashland 1st Baptist Church. Mr. Lutz is survived by a brother, Ralph G. Searl of Willard, OH.; a sister, Sharma P. Kalawert of ZephyrHills, FL.; nephews, James Arthur Searl of Atlanta, GA., and Michael McGovern of Columbus, OH.; and a niece, Meghan McGovern Kondick of Reminderville, OH. Mr. Lutz was preceded in death by his grandmother, Fannie Kemp; mother, H.Gene Searl; step-father, Ralph W. Searl; and a sister, Sharleene McGovern. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with interment at Ashland Co. Memorial Park. Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., Ashland, OH., assisted the family with arrangements and will provide an online register book for friends and family to express condolences at www.heylfuneralhome.com
