Attilio Lattanzi

Attilio Lattanzi age 93 of Ashland, passed away on July 20, 2018 at Kingston of Ashland.

Born in Gates, Pennsylvania on February 18, 1925 the son of Louis and Enregetta (Pasquale) Lattanzi, he had been an Ashland resident for the past sixty years. Mr. Lattanzi was a retired employee of Abbott Laboratories.

On November 23, 1951 Attilio was married to Dorothy Whyel who preceded him in death on February 25, 2014.

He is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Thomas (Elaine) Lattanzi of Ashland and Attilio L. (Janet) Lattanzi of Richardson, Texas.

Also surviving is one grandson, Greg (Ashley) Lattanzi of Marysville, Ohio and two great grandchildren, Makenzie Lattanzi and Brayden Lattanzi. One sister Jean Malinsky of Masontown, Pennsylvania also survives.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy Mr. Lattanzi is preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Christina Lattanzi , three sisters and two brothers.

Mr. Lattanzi was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving in World War Two. He was wounded in the battle of Okinawa and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on the day of the service. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Ashland Cemetery.
