Betty Jean Campbell age 88, left this earth for her heavenly home on August 15, 2019 after a long battle with heart disease.
Born in Clarksburg West Virginia the daughter of Dorsey G. and Mary Elizabeth (Dawson) Robey on October 4, 1930. She was raised in Shinnston West Virginia and moved to Ohio in 1945. She had been an Ashland County resident since moving to Ohio.
She was an employee of the Eagle Rubber Company and retired with twenty five plus years of employment.
Surviving is one daughter, three sons; Carla J. Mackey of Mansfield, Michael E. (Lisa) Campbell of Mansfield, Dan L. Campbell and Life partner Greg Hankins of Cape Coral, Florida and Jeff A. (Kris) Campbell of Nankin.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, sister Virginia Moorefield and one brother George Robey.
Betty was a devoted parent who filled both roles as Mother and Father to her children.
Betty loved old time Country Music and Bluegrass Festivals. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, photography and animals. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church and she has been a resident of Kingston for the last five years.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Kiser officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday August 20, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Heyl Funeral Home.
