Charlene Rose Leary age 75, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at her residence. She was born August 29, 1942 in Fayette Co., West Virginia, the daughter of Ezra and Francis (Hagee) Foster. Charlene had been a resident of Ashland the past 8 years, formerly of Warsaw, Ohio. She had been employed in Dietary with Echoing Hills Resident Camp and previously had been an STNA for many years. She was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. She had a heart of gold and would do anything she could for anyone. She most enjoyed spending time with her family.
On November 1, 1958 Charlene married Jennings E. Leary who survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Cristy and Michael Edwards of Nova; sons, Kenneth and Terri Leary of St. John, Virginia Islands, and Jennings R. and Nicole Leary of Warsaw, Ohio; her 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her siblings, Walter and Terri Foster, Wayne and Beverly Foster, Lorain Foster, Bonnie (Donnie) Foster, Patsy Reid, Carla Reid- Pickens, Greg Reid, and Elizabeth “Bee” Reid; along with many nieces and nephews.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents and son, Kelly Leary.
A Celebration of Charlene’s Life and time of remembrance will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 1:30 till 4:00 P.M. at the American Legion Post 88 Ashland.
