Evelyn Jane Laughlin

Evelyn Jane Laughlin went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 3, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Born May 11, 1919 in Athens County she was the daughter of Lonnie Todd and Jennie Morrison, who were also known by their grandchildren as "Nana and Tink". On September 3, 1938 she was married to William Paul Laughlin who preceded her in death in 1993.

She is survived by 2 sons and six daughters; Barbara (Harvey) Zahniser of Ashland, Linda Hankins of Aurora, Colorado, John (Barb) Laughlin of Ashland, Shirley (Rick) Bonfiglio of Ashland, James Laughlin of Ashland, Nancy (Clayton) Wires of Ashland, Pam (Wayne) Risner of Ashland and Tami (Gregg) Bellman of Wapakoneta, Ohio. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren, 56 great- grandchildren, 12 great- great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Martha Janet in 1940, and her sister Dorothy McClead Tidball in 1999, also a granddaughter Tanya Baker in 1999.

She worked for several years in the kitchen at Ashland College, but her main job and joy in life was raising her large family and loving her grandchildren. She loved garage sales and sitting on her front porch with her front with family all around sharing a laugh or story. Oh precious Mother, how much you will be missed.

Graveside services will be held at Sandrock Cemetery (Wilson's Chapel) in Athens County on Monday April 7, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Pollock officiating.
