Jeannine Manbevers Obituary

Jeannine Manbevers age 88 of Ashland, passed away on August 3, 2019 at the Brethren Care Nursing Center.

Born on October 7, 1930 in Lancaster Ohio the daughter of Freer and Alice (Springer) Thomas.  Mrs. Manbevers had been a resident of Ashland for the past seven years.

She retired from the State of Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation and was previously employed at Westinghouse and Superior Plating in Columbus.

On August 1, 1964 Jeannine was married to Eugene Manbevers who precedes her in death.

Survivors include one daughter and son in law; Susan (Ray) Steinhauser of Ashland and a son and daughter in law, Timothy (Heather) Manbevers of Columbus.

She is also survived by six grandchildren; Courtney (Bruce) Hargrove of Johnstown, Oh:, Maximilian and Samantha Steinhauser and Daylee , Demi, and Mark Manbevers. Two great grandchildren also survive, Vaden Baccus and Kaia Hargrove.

In addition to her husband Eugene she is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Freer Thomas Jr. and Robert Thomas. One sister and one daughter in law also precede her in death; Winford Gang and Barbara LeVeck.

Jeannine was a member of the Eastern Star. She also loved music and played the trumpet and piano.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial Contributions in Jeannine’s name may be left with the following organization. Ashland County Community Foundation, 300 College Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805, to the Eugene and Jeannine Manbevers Endowment Fund, for the benefit of Ashland High School’s Marching Band.
