Jerry E Sours

Jerry Eugene Sours age 70, of Ashland, died Tuesday October 6, 2009 at Hospice of North Central Ohio. He was born in Ashland on March 14, 1939, the son of Paul and Rubie (Bowen) Sours. Mr. Sours had been a resident of Ashland all of his life where he worked for U- Brand as a molder for 30 years. He attended Lakefork United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eagles Club, VFW and the AmVets. He enjoyed playing Euchre.

Survivors include his son Jeffrey Sours of Ashland, three daughters and sons in- law; Joann Sours of Canton, Jill and Tom Kekic of Cleveland, and Jodi and Carl Grant Jr. of Cleveland along with his four grandchildren. Other survivors include his sister and brother in- law; Sandy and Keith Morgan of West Virginia and two brothers and sister in- law Duane and Terrie Sours of Ashland and Rex Sours of Wooster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronnie Sours and a grandson.

Services will be held at the Heyl Funeral Home on Monday October 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Gerald Gess officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday October 12, 2009 from 6 to 8:00 P.M. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assoc., 226 St. Rte. 61, Norwalk, Ohio 44857.
