Julia Ann (Weirich) Norris

     Julia Ann Norris, age 79 of Ashland, OH., passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Home.  On May 19, 1932 in Ashland, OH., Mrs. Norris was born to Cloyd C. and Mildred L. (Oliver) Weirich.  She had been a resident of Ashland most of her life working in the office at Faultless Rubber Co.  Mrs. Norris graduated from Ashland High School in 1950 and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, the Ashland Emblem Club #61, the Am Vets Auxiliary, and Past President of the Ashland Co. American Cancer Society.

     On November 11, 1950, Mrs. Norris married Richard “Dick” L. Norris who survives.  Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her parents, Cloyd and Mildred Weirich, her step-father, Quinten Straits; three sons: Steven “Weese 7” on July 29, 2011, Tom on April 3, 2003, and Douglas on February 4, 1954; and a brother, Joseph O. Wierich.

     Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., Ashland, OH., with Pastor Karen Liddy officiating.  Interment will be at Ashland Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland, OH., 44805 or the Good Shepherd Home Activities Committee (Stratford), 622 Center St., Ashland, OH., 44805.  An online register book is available for those who cannot attend the visitation or service at www.heylfuneralhome.com
