Patsy A. Swisher, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Kingston of Ashland, at the age of 69. She was born in Paintsville, KY., the daughter of the late William Cochran and Ruth (Lemaster) Blanton. Patsy was a 1967 graduate of Oil Springs High School. She had been a resident of Ashland the past 38 years where she was employed with Bill Harris Auto Center as a Bookkeeper and Receptionist. Patsy enjoyed making crafts, scrapbooking, gardening, antiquing, and spending time with her family, which included her “Sensational Six” grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as “TeTe.”
On June 21, 1969, Patsy married Jeff Swisher who survives. Throughout their marriage of 49 years, Patsy and Jeff were rarely apart in their free time, often visiting with family and friends. Also surviving are her son, Bret (Amber) Swisher; daughter, Jaime (Jeff) Honaker all of Ashland; her stepbrother, David “Keith” (Sheri) Blanton; step sister, Sherry Tierney; her grandchildren, Emma Swisher, Jenna Honaker, Jacob Swisher, Jocelyn Honaker, Madden Rosser, and Jordyn Honaker; her siblings, Ginger Williams, John (Karen) Cochran, Cathy (Bob) Cottle, Debbie (Ray) Keeton and Jeff (Nola) Cochran; along with her 12 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Swisher.
Funeral services will be held at Heyl Funeral Home on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. with Dr. John Jorden officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
