Ray Anthony Pearce, 59 passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Cleveland University Hospital. He was born March 2, 1960 in Lodi, Ohio, the son of Richard and Velma (Read) Pearce. Ray was a 1978 graduate of Hillsdale High School.
Ray was known to help anyone that might need some extra help. He knew no strangers. He worked for Nagele Manufacturing in Ashland Brookpark. He also worked for Leiden Cabinet in Twinsburg.
Ray was a member of the West Salem Masonic Lodge No. 398 and was a 32nd degree Mason. He also was a member of the Mohican Valley Wing Chapter. He was owner of R & J Body Fender.
Ray is survived by his wife, Pam (Morgan) Pearce, who he married on April 27, 1986. Also surviving are his children, Chad Beasley and partner Jake Curie, Alicia Bailey and Neil Conn, Chris and Lisa Bailey, Anthony Bailey; grandchildren, Kylie Gottman and Noah Bailey; his mother, Velma Chandler, brother, Kevin Chandler; stepmother, Judy Harlin; mother in-law, Roma Morgan; brothers in-law, Tim and Anita Morgan, Tom Morgan and Ken and Kim Morgan; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Richard; sister, Becky; brother, Mike; uncle, Duane Read; and father in-law, Harry Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at Heyl Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Mr. Ken Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Ashland Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
