Raymond E. Kline

Raymond E. Kline, 89 of Ashland, passed away on Saturday June 7, 2008 at Crystal Care Center of Ashland. He was born October 8, 1918 to Cloyd B. and Pearl (Camp) Kline. Mr. Kline was a resident of Ashland County all of his life and graduated from Ashland High School in 1936. He was married to Lois E. Wise on November 20, 1941. For many years he was a partner of Kline Bros. Farm Seeds, Supplies & Machinery with his brother, Howard E. Kline. He attended West Main Grace Brethren Church. During his retirement, he spent much of his time helping his friends and neighbors and making pets out of the neighborhood squirrels.

Mr. Kline is survived by two daughters, Jean (Richard) Fisher of St. Louis, MO., and Joan (Bill) Valentine of Ashland; one son, John (Delores) Kline of New London; one son in-law, William (Dr. Susan) Kahl of Campobello, SC.; one sister Dorothy (Bob) Plice of Ashland; one sister in-law, Marjorie Kline of Ashland and one brother in-law Francis Bartley of Ashland. Mr. Kline had eight grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Lois Wise Kline; his daughter, Janet Kline Kahl; his brother Howard E. Kline and his sister Marjorie Bartley.

It was Mr. Kline's wish that there be no calling hours. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in his memory to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 448805.
