Ruth Friend Obituary

Ruth M. Friend age 80, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Kingston of Ashland. She was born May 17, 1938 in Ashland County, the daughter of Ralph A. and Ilene D. (Keifer) Chacey. Ruth had been a resident of Ashland all of her life where she was a Homemaker. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church.

On June 17, 1955 Ruth married Harold L. Friend who preceded her in death in 1987. Survivors include her son, Michael L. Friend of Nova; daughter, Carol Luttman of Savannah; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. One sister and brother in law, Martha (Conrad) Gess of Polk and one brother and sister in law, Alvin (Shirley) Chacey of Adario also survive.

In addition to her husband Harold, Ruth is also preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters and one son Robert Friend.

In keeping with Ruth’s wishes there will be no visitation and a graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
