Ruth Heichel Obituary

Ruth A. Heichel age 99 formerly of Ashland, passed away with her family at her side on Thursday February 17, 2011 at the Western Reserve Masonic Community. Mrs. Heichel had been an Ashland resident all of her life until moving to Medina in 2003.
Born in Ashland on August 8, 1911 the daughter of Cloyd W. and Elma (Newell) Markley. Mrs. Heichel was a former employee of the Ashland Public Library.
On June 6, 1937 she married Guy Heichel who preceded her in death on March 8, 2006.
Surviving are two children and their spouses, Jim (Jane) Heichel of Newportland Maine and Lynn (Ed) Kneedler of Washington D.C.. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Claire (Heichel) Lambert, Annie Kneedler, Jenny Kneedler. Three great grandsons also survive Jack Lambert, Matthew Lambert and Nathen Lambert.
In addition to her husband Guy, Mrs. Heichel is preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Mrs. Heichel was a member of the First Christian Church, Naomi Circle, Ashland Book Study Club, Childs Study Club and a former member of the Garden Study Club.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
