Ruth Shaw Obituary

Ruth E. Shaw, age 83, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at her home, surrounded by family. She was born in Elizabeth, PA., on January 25, 1936, the daughter of William and Ruth (Hepner) Hines.

On November 3, 1973 Ruth married Glenn V. Shaw who preceded her in death in 2001. Survivors include her daughter, Pam Horrie of Ashland; sons, Keith (Marsha) Spaniel of Ironwood, Michigan, Steve (Kathy) Spaniel of Mansfield, Bruce Spaniel of Memphis, Tennessee, Glenn (Clark Schmidt) Shaw of Delaware, and Paul Horrie of Jeromesville; step daughter, Patty (Chuck) Branz of Amherst; step daughter in-law, Bonnie Shaw of Loraine; sister, Helen (John) Nehez of Austin, Texas; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Glenn, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Mark Spaniel, Tom Spaniel and Jerry Spaniel; step son, Ronald Shaw; sisters, Pearl Pate, Audrey Riedel; and brother, William “Junior” Hines.
