Ruth J. (Markley) White

Ruth L. White age 88 of Ashland, passed away on Thursday June 20, 2019 at the Brethren Care Nursing Home.

Born in Ashland on November 16, 1930 the daughter of Earl F. and Nora (Blust) Markley she was an Ashland county resident all of her life where she was a homemaker.

Ruth was married to Forrest Wayne White who preceded her in death in 1988

Surviving is one son and daughter in law, David (Ann) White of Ashland. Ruth is also survived by numerous step children overseas and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Forrest she is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald Markley and Henry Jackson Markley; three sisters, Marguerite Helbert, Maxine Lepp and Josephine Helbert.

Ruth was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Mifflin. She was a loving caregiver to family and friends who took great pride in her spotless housekeeping.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2019 at 12:00p.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Jean  Coleman officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. the day of the funeral service. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
