Shirley June Patterson age 84, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Danbury Senior Living in Columbus where she had moved to be close to her special Niece Denise. She was born December 25, 1934 in Monroe County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ernest and Irene (Shafer) Haas. Shirley had been the Salute Valedictorian of her graduating High School class. She had been a resident of Ashland most of her life and was a Homemaker.

Survivors include her nieces, Denise (Bob) Kapps of Columbus, Brenda Baughman of Naples, FL., Cheryl Blickensderfer of Decatur, IL., and Vanessa (David) McGinty of Mansfield; two nephews, Jerry (Sandi) Christman of Reno, NV. and Terry Haas of Mansfield Ohio; along with numerous great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her 2 infant children, Kevin and Beth; her brothers, John Haas and Harold Haas; along with her sister, Velma Christman.

At Shirley’s request there will be no public services. Interment will be in Ashland Cemetery.
