Thomas E. Lefever

Thomas E. Lefever, age 67 of Savannah, OH., passed away Monday, February 17, 2014, at Med-Central Hospital in Mansfield. On November 10, 1946 in Ashland, OH., Mr. Lefever was born to Clayton and Letha (Gray) Lefever. He had been a resident of the Ashland Co. area all of his life growing up in Savannah and attending Savannah High School. Mr. Lefever had been employed for 36 years at Faultless Rubber Co./ Abbott Labs until his retirement in 2001. He had served and was honorably discharged from the Ohio National Guard 1486th Transportation Co. in Ashland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing riding his Harley, train watching, and playing cards with his family. Mr. Lefever had attended the Christ Community Evangelical Free Church in Savannah. On September 30, 1966 Mr. Lefever married Sandra Sweet who survives. Also surviving Mr. Lefever are a son, Daniel Lefever of Savannah; a daughter, Jennifer (Steven) Hoover of Nova, OH.; a grandson: John (Marissa) Sablan of Nova; a granddaughter: Nicole Sablan of Nova; a brother, Michael (Mary) Lefever of Ashland; 2 sisters: Mary Ellen Lefever and Sally Lefever both of Savannah; and a brother-in-law: Phil (Brenda) Sweet of Bailey Lakes. Mr. Lefever was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Lefever. As per his wishes there will be no visitation but a memorial service for family and friends will be held at Christ Community Church, 1272 Co. Rd. 758, 4:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2014, with Pastor Mike Futrell officiating.
