Charlene J. (Tucker) Fulk age 91 of Ashland, passed away Thursday March 8, 2018 at Brethren Care.

Born in Ashland on April 7, 1926 the daughter of Henry A. and Mabel (Newcomer) Tucker she had been an Ashland resident all of her life.

She had been employed as  a Registered Obstetrical Nurse at Samaritan Hospital for many years. She was also a member of the Samaritan Hospital Alumni Association and the Samaritan Hospital Retired Nurses Association.

Charlene had been married to John Fulk.  She was especially fond of traveling later in her life and had visited forty states. She also enjoyed cruises with special friends and family, spending many trips to Florida with her children and grandchildren as well as trips to Myrtle Beach with special “Nursing Buddies”

Surviving are two daughters and sons in law and one son and daughter in law, Christine (Bill) Linnett of Merritt Island Florida, Laurel (Bob) Fulk-Burr of Pembroke Pines, Florida and Thomas (Charlene) Fulk of Ashland.

Also surviving are three grandchildren and one sister; Billy Linnett, Kim Linnett , Andrew Fulk and Donna J. Young of Jeromesville.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles C. Tucker and three sisters Barbara (Tucker) Dutton, Nancy S. Tucker and Dolores (Dee) Steigerwalt.

A Celebration of Charlene’s life will be held at the Heyl Funeral Home on Wednesday March 14, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.

Friends may visit with the family at the Heyl Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m.

VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS . SHE WAS A LOVEY LADY THAT ALWAYS MADE ME LAUGH . AND WITH HER LAUGH MADE EVERYONE SMILE . MOM CHERISHED HER AS A CLOSE FREIND . SHE WILL BE MISSED . YOU GUYS ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS.

Laurel, Christine and Tom, My deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother.
Jolene Palmer and I were to the hospital on the 24th to see her. We had a nice
visit with her. I was a nurse also and worked with her on OB for almost nine
years. We have kept in touch all these years. (I am also 91) So sorry that
I couldn't attend the services. She will be remembered in my prayers.
