My heartfelt condolences to the family. I worked with Joan for many years at Abbott and considered her a true friend. Joan had a very kind heart and soul and was one of the nicest people I have ever met. Her family meant the world to her and she loved them dearly. She will be greatly missed.

Joanie is going to be missed by so many that loved her dearly. But I know they are also at peace in knowing she is no longer suffering and is now in the arms of our Savior and has walked through the gates of Heaven and is now celebrating her eternal life. She was such a loving, sweet, caring person and I am so happy to have known her, even though we had only seen each other rarely in recent years is was so nice seeing her again. For those that knew her, knows what I am saying.....Shannon I know that you and your family are in shock at this time and are numb from losing such an important part of your family. Never forget that you two will be together again in time.....You were absolutely her love, the one person that kept her going through the tough times and celebrated with her during the good times....please treasure all those memories you and your mom have made over the years and shared. All the love you shared is still very strong and always will be....Sleep well my friend until we meet again....gonna miss you...you were truly a very special person. Love Sandy
