Anthony M. Leiter

Anthony M. Leiter age 60 of Ashland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 24, 2015. Born in Ashland on April 30, 1955 the son of William H. and Lila M. (nee Koch) Leiter he had been a resident of Ashland all of his life.

On May 31, 1975 Anthony was married to Mary Price who survives.

In addition to his wife Mary, he is also survived by one daughter and three sons, Lisa Ellis of Ashland, Matthew Gerwig of Tennessee, Anthony Leiter II and his wife Aimee, and Jarrod Leiter.

He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Cameron Gerwig, Zachary Ellis, Megan Ellis, Kayla Gerwig, Cory Gerwig, Austin Gerwig, Ryan Roberson, Kaitlin Carson, Justin Bethea, Haven Leiter, Logan Leiter and Payton Leiter.

He is also survived by four great grandchildren.

Mr. Leiter is also survived by his mother, Lila Leiter of Ashland; one sister Sharon Kolp of Galion, one brother, Keith Leiter of Ashland, and two sisters in law, Linda (Don) Behrendsen and Debra (Bob) Cross.

Numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Mr. Leiter is preceded in death by his father, William H. Leiter and two brothers William D. (Pork) Leiter and John W. Leiter.

Mr. Leiter was an employee of Pentair Incorporated for 37 years. His joy was spending time with his family and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home with Rev. Janet Chilcote officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Ashland County Memorial Park.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday October 28, 2015 at the Heyl Funeral Home.
