Barbara J. (Peffer) Dilgard

Barbara J. Dilgard age 88, of Nankin, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at U.H. Samaritan Regional Medical Center.  She was born February 23, 1931 in Ashland County, the daughter of Blaine and Maynetta (Laughery) Peffer.  Barbara was a 1949 graduate of Ashland High School.  She had been a resident of Ashland County all of her life where she was a Homemaker.  Barbara was a member of Nankin Community Church and enjoyed gardening especially flower gardening. 

On June 14, 1952 Barbara married Ralph Dilgard who preceded her in death in 2005.  Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Sandy and David Plymire of Ashland; her grandchildren, Sean Plymire of Ashland and Kari (Gregg) Reynolds of Ashland; her 4 great grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Shepard of Ashland; her brother in-law, Bud (Miriam) Dilgard of Ashland; along with her sister in-law, Doris Crossen of Polk.

In addition to her husband Ralph; Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Merle.

Funeral services will be held at Heyl Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 1:00 P.M.  with Pastor Jake Heskett officiating.  Burial will follow at Nankin Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
