Bertha A. Carpenter age 66 of Ashland, passed away on Tuesday February 21, 2023 at UH Samaritan Health Center.

Born in Ashland on November 17,1956 the daughter of Bertha B. (Hurst) and Hollie Parker she has been a Ashland County resident all of her life.

Bertha was a graduate of Mapleton High School and she enjoyed gardening. On August 31,1984, Bertha was married to Boyd Carpenter who survives.

In addition to her husband Boyd, she is survived by three children; Kevin Curry of Hayesville, Amber (Jason) Curry of Polk and Holly (Chris) Curry of Ashland. Three grandchildren also survive; Allie, Taylor and KC. She is also survived by three siblings; Clyde Parker, Leona Kinney and Tammy (Charles Jr.) Cooke. She is also survived by a special cousin Brenda (Joe) Roland.

Bertha is preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Bertha’s life will be held on March 4, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Nankin Federated Community Church, 795 State Route 302, Nankin, Ohio 44848 with Pastor Jeremy Roland officiating.
