Bertha I (Brown) Dohme

Bertha I. Dohme age 95 of Ashland, passed away on Tuesday September 5, 2023 at Kingston of Ashland. Born in Ravenna, Ohio on October 21, 1927 the daughter of Leo and Evalina (Marvin) Brown. She was a Ashland resident most of her life. While in Ashland she was employed at Sigafoos Lumber, Philway and the Ashland County Auditor’s office.

On November 19, 1946 she was married to Robert Dohme who precedes her in death.

Surviving are two grandaughters; Susan (Eric) Johnson and Tracy (Rex Lewis) Mills. One grandson also survives, Dean Reynolds. Also surviving are great grandchildren; Brooke Johnson, Blake Johnson, Paige Reynolds, Katelyn Reynolds and Kyle Reynolds. One bonus granddaughter Debbie (Scott) Pruner and many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband Robert, she is preceded in death by daughter, Carol Reynolds, son in law, Dean Reynolds and sister Myrtle Frank.

Bertha was a member of the Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church. In her retired years she enjoyed; traveling, playing cards, crocheting, reading and especially spending time with family, friends and her dog.

Graveside funeral services will be held at the Ashland County Memorial Park on Monday September 11, 2023 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers the family would like contributions in Bertha’s name be given to the Ashland County Dog Shelter, 1710 Garfield Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
