Bill B. Jennings

Bill B. Jennings age 88 of Ashland, passed away on Monday June 22, 2026 at the Inn at Ashland Woods.

Born in Ashland county on September 17, 1937 the son of Earl and Florence (Davies) Jennings, he was a resident of Ashland County all of his life. Mr. Jennings had been employed at Abbott Labs and retired in 1999 with 45 years of service. He attended the Olivesburg United Methodist Church and served his country in the United States Army. He was also a member of Ashland Eagles Aerie #2178.

On November 28, 1964, Bill was married to Dorothy Cline who preceded him in death in 1998.

Surviving are two children: Valerie (Dennis) Smith of Ashland and Kenneth (Elizabeth) Jennings of Illinois. Three grandchildren also survive: Greagry Smith, Jeffry Smith and Lilliana Jennings. Three great grandchildren also survive.

Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters: Tom (Gloria) Jennings of Ashland, Darrel (Margie) Jennings of Polk, Darlene Payne of Ashland and Barbara (Merle) Highman of Colorado.

In addition to his wife Dorothy and special friend Jane Shoenburger, Bill is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Richard, Earl Jr. and Robert and four sisters; Virginia, Jerri, Janice and Shirley.

Funeral services will be held at the Heyl Funeral Home on Friday June 26,2026 at 11:00 am with Trudy Bates officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Heyl Funeral Home on Thursday June 25, 2026 from 5:00pm till 7:00 pm.
