Cathryn D Claypool

Cathryn (Katie) (Wells) Claypool age 91 of Ashland, passed away on Monday April 19,2021.
Born in Ashland on December 11 , 1929 the daughter of Walter and lrene (Hauenstein) Wells,
she was a resident of Ashland County all of her life. She had been employed as a
housekeeper.

On January 24,1949 Katie was married to Ernest Franklin Claypool Jr. who preceded her in
death after 39 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by a stillborn son.
She is survived by two son's and daughters in law; Nick (Melinda) Claypool and Jerry (Karen)
Claypool. Also surviving are grandchildren; Jamie (Betsie) Claypool, Micah Claypool, Jenny
(Dan) Gallatin, Amy (Jeremie) Beecher, Amanda (Chad) Rogers and Macy (Greg) Vogel. She
is also survived by great grandchildren ;Dakota Claypool (Amanda Kinsey fiance) Haylee
Rogers, Sydnee Rogers, Kylee Beecher, Emilee Beecher, Sophia Gallatin, Alivia Gallatin,
Nickolas Vogel and Greyson Vogel. Step great-grand children; Tayler Markel and Jeffery
Markel.
Mrs. Claypool was a member of the Savannah Presbyterian Church.
A family graveside service will be held at the Nankin Cemetery on Wednesday April 28, 2021
