Connie Smalley age 60 of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly on Monday October 5, 2020.
Born in Ashland on October 9, 1959 the daughter of Richard Smalley and Lucile (Farney) Baker, she had been an Ashland County resident all of her life. She graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1977. Connie had been employed at Hunter Defense Technologies for the past 22 years.
She enjoyed crafting, sewing and cooking with her grandchildren. She also loved attending their sporting events, or dance recitals which she never missed the opportunity to do so. She enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips to the beach.
Surviving relatives include two children and their spouses; Andrea (Corby) Campo of Olivesburg and Jason (Jessica) Markley of Ashland. She is also survived by her parents Richard Smalley of Pensacola, Florida and Frank and Lucile Baker of Jeromesville and six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Four sisters also survive; Kristina (Darrell) Rowland of Columbus, Kim (Tom) Schwarzwalder of Ashland, Becky (Emanuel) Baker of Berlin and Holly (Chris) Fair of Jeromesville. She is also survived by her dog Marley who went everywhere with her.
She is preceded in death by one sister; Barb Mutchler.
Calling hours will be from 10am-12pm on Friday October 16th, 2020 with a small service to follow. A meal and fellowship will be after for those who would like to stay after the service and partake. Calling hours, service and meal will be held at St. Michael Lutheran Church (Mifflin, Ohio) 26 Maine St. Ashland, Ohio 44805
Masks are encouraged in the sanctuary at St.Michael Lutheran Church.
