Cora Louise Esbenshade, age 86, of Ashland, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her residence. She was born September 1, 1935 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Theodore and Esther (Dilgard) Nell. Louise had been a lifelong resident of Ashland County where she was a Homemaker. She was a very active member of the Adario United Methodist Church, playing the piano and had been a Sunday School Teacher. She had a great love for the Lord, her church and the people of the church. Louise enjoyed cooking, gardening and flowers. She most enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
On February 1, 1958 Louise married Willis D. Esbenshade who preceded her in death in 2011. Survivors include her sons, Tony (Pam Watts) Esbenshade of Olivesburg, Jeff (Kristie) Esbenshade of Ashland; her daughter, Dianna Onie of Shelby; grandchildren, Brittany Onie, Tristan Onie, Destinie Esbenshade, Zack Hershey and Josh Walker; great grandson, Colt Onie; sisters, Janice Moulton and Janet Nell; along with her sisters in-law, Marilyn Esbenshade, Nedra Esbenshade and Donna Wolf.
In addition to her parents and husband Willis, Louise was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Taylor Autumn Esbenshade; brothers, Robert Nell, Teddy Nell, Gary Nell, Terry Nell, Don Nell, and Charles Nell; and sister, Margaret Taisey.
Graveside services will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Olivesburg on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM with Denny Clawson officiating. Online condolences may be left for the family.
