Dawn Robbins Obituary

Dawn Star Robbins passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the age of 67. Dawn was an amazing and faithful wife to her husband, a loving mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend to many. Dawn never wavered in her desire and determination to be that kind of wife, mother and friend.

Dawn was born in Ashland, Ohio and graduated from Ashland High School in 1972. She worked as a secretary for Columbia Gas, worked for a retail boat company when she lived in Florida, spent many years serving people at Hawkins Market and worked hard with her husband Kyle in his painting business for many years. Most important, Dawn dedicated her heart and soul to loving and serving her children.

Dawn loved being creative and expressed her creativity in many ways over the years. She designed, painted and sold primitive artwork in many of the larger craft shows in the area. The all time favorite of her customers was her Noah's Ark rendition which included wood cutouts of Noah and the animals along with a rather hefty wood ark model. Over the years she became quite skilled in developing her own original collage art work which she incorporated into yearly calendars she made for her husband and children. More recently she became quite skilled in water color paintings, many of which have been framed and are ready to be put on display in her home.

Not only was Dawn a good wife, mother and friend, she was a dedicated Christian. Her faith in Christ was simple. When she was a young Christian she had a hard time believing that Christ loved her, died for her and forgave her of her sins but she came to believe and know that these things were true. Like a young child who trusts in their parents, Dawn trusted her heavenly Father and His promises to her.

Towards the end of her life, Dawn wrote this about herself: “I had few goals, not your ordinary lofty goals, but simple ones: to see crystal clear water, to see eagles in the wild, to marry someone who love me as much as I love him and to have healthy, happy babies.” Dawn obtained all these goals and much more. She saw crystal clear water, eagles in the wild, married a husband who loved her for 37 years as much as she loved him, and was blessed with happy babies. Her family, and especially her husband, will greatly miss her.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Kyle, her four children, Mandy Chambers (Joel), Joshua, Sawyer and Myles, and two grandchildren, Maddy Chambers and Mae Chambers. Surviving also are her brother Kurk and sister Barb Morejon. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Nell, her father, Robert Nell, and her sister, Shari Dinsmore.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 27, 2021 at 11:00 am. at the Heyl Funeral Home with Kyle Robbins officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am till 11:00 am prior to the funeral service at the funeral Home.
