Deborah “Deb” Sue Jones, age 65, of Ashland, passed away on February 12, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital following an unexpected illness.
Born in Mansfield, Ohio, on March 18, 1960, she was the daughter of Judy Geiger of Houston, Texas, and the late Ray Oswalt of Mansfield, Ohio.
Deb was the loving mother of Laurie (Brian) Crompton of Candler, North Carolina, and a proud grandmother to Kayla (John) Davis and Hannah Smith, also of Candler. She was the oldest of six children, including her late sister Dianna Campbell of Candler, North Carolina; brother Adam (Stacey) Campbell of Katy, Texas; brother Aaron “AJ” (Brenda) Campbell of Ashland, Ohio; brother Alon “Dinger” (Misty) Campbell of Shelby, Ohio; and her late sister Danetta Solis of Houston, Texas.
She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Deb spent her life living between North Carolina, Ohio, and Texas, wherever her family called home. She will be fondly remembered for her sweet giggle and her playful habit of pinching cheeks. She cherished time spent with family, cooking large meals, taking photos and scrapbooking, listening to classic rock music, watching classic films, and more recently discovering a passion for crocheting.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, February 16, at 3:00 p.m. at Kendig Park in Hayesville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in her honor to The Church On The Rise in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
