Obituary
Delbert E. Jones age 83, of Galion, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023 at Legacy Health Services in Bucyrus. He was born in Galion October 5, 1939, the son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Sheidler) Jones. Delbert had been employed with Labs. as a Truck Driver for 33 years before retiring in 2001. Delbert was a veteran of US Army. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Moose Lodge, American Legion, V.F.W., AmVets, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
On July 1, 1967 Delbert married Barbara (Steiner) Jones who preceded him in death in 2009. Survivors include his sister, Phyllis Pinyerd of Galion; his 4 nephews, Kirk (Kathryn) Pinyerd, Mark (Vicki) Pinyerd, Joseph (Connie) Guraleczka and William (Trisha) Guraleczka; along with 5 great nephews and 3 great nieces.
In addition to his parents and wife Barbara, Delbert was preceded in death by his sister Darlene Guraleczka and a great niece.
Graveside services will be held at Ashland Cemetery on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 1:30 PM with Pastor Sean Scheider officiating and Military Honors presented by the Ashland Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may visit with the family at Heyl Funeral Home on Tuesday June 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM. Online condolences may be left for the family.
