Dennis E. Daugherty

Dennis E. Daugherty age 84 of Ashland, passed away on December 18, 2025 in Wooster,Ohio.

Born in Wooster on June 12, 1941, the son of Earl and Bessie (Cunnigham) Daugherty he was a resident of Ashland for most of his life. Before his retirement, he had been employed at Smetz’s Tire Center. He loved watching the Guardians, westerns and Walker Texas Ranger. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. During Christmas he enjoyed watching the Christmas shows on Hallmark. He served his country as a part of the United States Army.

On January 29, 1984, Denny was married to Kathleen Riffle who precedes him in death.

Surviving are three stepchildren: Melodie Koprivec of Wooster, Robbie (Heidi) Obrecht of Ashland and Ryan Obrecht of Ashland. He is also survived one grandchild Zach Obrecht; one great grandson, Callum Obrecht; step grandchild Jakob Koprivec and one sister, Mary Lou (Joe) Gusan of Ashland.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen, he is preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Edward (Jean) Daugherty, Nancy (Milton) Maynard and Kay (Howard) Harned. One step son also precedes him in death Micheal Koprivec.

Graveside funeral services will be held on December 29, 2025 at 11:00 am with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating at the Ashland Cemetery.
