Dennis A. Nell

Dennis A. Nell age 76 of Ashland, passed away at UH Samaritan Health Center on December 2, 2020

Born in Ashland on February 19,1944 the son of Clarence and Florence (Stacy) Nell. He was a resident of Ashland County all of his life.

Mr. Nell was an employee of HYCO and GFC and retired in 1997.

He was a member of the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of Mapleton High School Class of 1963. Mr. Nell enjoyed Tractor Pulls and Stock Car races. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW.

Surviving are two nieces and their husbands, Chasta (Chris) Rhine of Ashland and Tiffany (Billy) Stake of Jeromesville. One great niece and nephew also survive, Lauren Rhine and Luke Rhine. Many friends and neighbors also survive.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronald Nell, sister Geraldine Nell, and great nephew Logan Rhine

Funeral services will be held at the Heyl Funeral Home on Saturday December 5, 2020 at 11:00 am with Pastor Julie Thoms officiating.Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 to 11:00 at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at the Nankin Cemetery. It is asked that anyone attending the funeral service wear a mask and observe social distancing protocols.
