Donald "Don" D. Perry age 75, of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly, peacefully at his residence Friday, September 18, 2020. He was born November 5, 1944 in Morehead, KY., the son of the late Jack Howard and Lou Alma (Fisher) Perry. Don had been a resident of Ashland County since 1977. Don was always good with his hands and began his career as an auto mechanic and later a mechanic for the Ashland County Highway Department. He eventually took his talents to start his own business in renovating properties and then rental property ownership. Don never encountered something he couldn't repair. He often used these skills to help family and friends with all types of projects. Don also owned and operated Brightview Windows, Doors and Home Maintenance until his retirement earlier this year. Don enjoyed spending his free time at October Hill Campground in Loudonville with family and friends. He could often be found either on his golf cart tooling around or helping a neighbor fix something. He also enjoyed crafting woodworking gifts as well. Wether watching Indians games, eating breakfast at the Lyn-Way, or enjoying his surroundings he found peace and joy in simple things. Don had been past president and a trustee for October Hill Camp Lot Owners Association.
On December 23, 1977 Don married Karin Parrott who survives. Also surviving are his children, Billy (Tiffany) Perry of Grove City, OH., Shannon (Stephen) Foskett of Hudson, OH., Melissa Hausch of Bryan, OH., Jody Clevenger- Leadingham of KY., and Donald Perry Jr. of KY.; his siblings, Raymond (Betty) Perry, Ruby (Harmon) Carter, Juanita Weaver, and Joe Perry all of KY.; along with many grandchildren and his beloved cat, Scrappy.

You can bet there will be no leaky faucets in Heaven.
