Donald L. Vulgamore

Donald "Burrhead" Vulgamore, age 59, of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2020.

Born in Mansfield, Ohio on August 5, 1960 the son of Beverly (Kline) and Richard Carr and Donald E. Vulgamore. He had been an Ashland resident most of his life.

Donald had been employed as a truck driver with Advanced Drainage Systems and logged over three million miles behind the wheel of his semi. He loved the outdoors, boating, camping and riding his Harley Davidson. He also loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and enjoyed mowing yards for neighbors and friends.

On July 23, 1994 Donald was married to Carol A. Mullet McConnell who survives him.

In addition to his wife Carol of 26 years, he is also survived by two sons; Donald Nathan Vulgamore and Ryan Lee Vulgamore, both of North Carolina. Also surviving are two step-children; Melissa (Jess) Chavis of Columbus and Kenneth McConnell of Ashland. Two sisters and one brother also survive; Shari (Ron) Leech of Butler, Lois Temple of Butler and Richard (Loretta) Carr of Ashland. Nine wonderful grandchildren also survive as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition, he is survived by a large extended family; Clifford Andrew Mullet of Lexington, Sherri (Scott) Bradbury of Lexington, Deb Canfield of Ashland, Vicki (Jeff) Rush of Troy, Kelly (Thomas) Hickey of Ashland. He is also survived by his Mother in law Mary Ann Worst of Ashland and Father in law Clifford Mullet of Lexington.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Mitchell Ray Carr, and one grandchild Piper Vulgamore.

A celebration of Donald's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home on Monday, August 10, 2020 with Chaplin Steven Baldridge officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the celebration service from 3:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
