Dorothy Murr Obituary

Dorothy J. Murr age 90 of Ashland, passed away on Monday August 27, 2018 at Kingston of Ashland.

Born in Ashland on January 1, 1928 the daughter of George (Gloe) and Vera (Braden) Zehner, she was an Ashland resident all of her life where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 66 years.

Mrs. Murr was married to Russell (Bud) Clark who preceded her in death in 1972 and Herald Murr who preceded her in death in 2010.

Surviving are three daughters and two sons in law, Pam Richards of Bozeman Montana, Vickie (Gary) Guemelata of Ashland and Joni (Scott) Dalrymple of Wooster. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Chrystie Reep, Bryan (Carla) Reep, Brennan Smith and BriAnne (Troy) Forrester. Five great grandchildren also survive Sienna, Gemma, Luca, Kendallyn and LakeLynn. Four step children, Tim (Nancy) Murr of Florida, Tanya (Jim) Brown of New London, Pam Roush of New London and Sandy Brazie of New London. She also is survived by 10 Step Grandchildren, Fifteen Step Great Grandchildren and one sister, Louise Gustin of California.

In addition to her husbands, Russell Clark and Herald Murr she is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Betty Temple and Virgina Carr and one step son, Jack Murr.

Dorothy enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s activities, traveling and camping. She enjoyed the Sun, Sand and Beach and also was a big fan of the Cleveland Indians.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date at the Imhoff cemetery.
