E. Maxine (Swineford) Burns

E. Maxine Burns age 94 of Ashland, passed away on January 11, 2022.

Born in Ashland on March 29, 1927 the daughter of Clare and Ida (Morr) Swineford she was a resident of Ashland County all of her life. She was a homemaker who had been previously employed at CRESCO and also at Myers Laundry.

On June 8, 1946 Maxine was married to Ned C. Burns who precedes her in death.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter in law; James Burns of Ashland and Steven (Jane) Burns of Nankin. She is also survived by grandchildren; Cassie (Shawn) Dobson, Stephanie (Alex) Chance and Brad (Nicole) Burns. She is also survived by great granddaughters; Jenna, Megan, and Erin Chance, Addison and Kate Dobson. One step great grandson also survives, Haven Leiter.

She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers; Mary Rhoads, Joan Allen, Bernice (Dwight) Morr and William (Phyllis) Swineford.

In addition to her husband Ned, she is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Ralph, James and Homer Swineford.

Funeral services will be held on Monday January 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Koch officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday January 17, 2022 from 10:00 am till the time of the funeral service. A private burial will be held at the Ashland County Memorial Park.
