Gail E. Bryan, Sr. (91), Ashland, OH, passed on, at The Inn at Ashland Woods,
having been surrounded by family for the proceeding week and under the kind loving care
of the Inn's staff and Gentiva Hospice.
Gail, known as "Shorty" to most, was born to Charles P. and Alma (Wiseman) Bryan
on June 11,1932 in Sugar Grove, Ohio. There after he spent most of his years in Guernsey,
Stark and Ashland Counties.
He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He married the love of his life, Lois Patricia Farley on July 14,1951 in Cambridge, Ohio.
Patty passed on before Gail on July 12, 2000.
They lovingly raised 4 children together: Joan (Lorin) Shriver , "Pete" Gail, Jr (Francis) Bryan, Susan Bryan and Scott.(Michelle) Bryan.
He also bestowed wisdom, love and fun whenever he had the opportunity on his 7 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grand-children, and several step-great-grandchildren .
He also had numerous nieces and nephews, and their spouses and children who were greatly influenced by love, guidance and support from "Uncle Gail and Aunt Patty".
Gail is also survived by 3 sisters, Alma Jean Rawdon, Thelma Fern Jennings, and Edith Pearl Robinson.
Other loved ones who have already passed are his 2 brothers, Francis Bryan and Earl Bryan; and 2 sisters, Margaret Stepanek and Ruth Hewitt. Also gone before are several dear brother and sisters-in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
Please join us in Celebrating Gail's story on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Christ Community Church (1272 CR 758, Ashland, OH). Visitation will be 10am until Noon, with the service to begin at Noon.
Officiating will be Pastor Luke Kelley.
