Garold D. Leiby

Garold D. Leiby, age 81 of Ashland, OH., passed away Tuesday, June 02, 2015 at Hospice House of North Central Ohio. The son of Fane and Ruth (Ridgeway) Leiby he was born November 5, 1933 in Spencer, Ohio. Mr. Leiby retired in 1989 after 30 years working for the Ford Motor Company. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting. Mr. Leiby was a member of the Wellington Masonic Lodge F&AM #127; the Valley of Cleveland Scottish Rite, and Al Koran. On April 21, 1952 Mr. Leiby married Elaine B. McQuate who survives. Also surviving are daughters: Linda Barr of West Salem, OH., Bonita Hayman of Elizabethtown, KY., Elaine Ann Dickerson of Phoenix, AZ., and Debra and Edward (Lee) Hubler of Ashland, OH.; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Linden Leiby of West Salem, OH., Walter Leiby of West Salem, OH., and Robert Leiby of Wellington, OH. Mr. Leiby was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gordon in 1986, a granddaughter; a son-in-law, Jerry Hayman, sisters, Carol Leiby and Shirley Bonnel, and a brother, Raymond Leiby. A graveside family memorial service will be held at a later date in Southview Cemetery in Sullivan, OH. There will be no visitation.
