Gloria J. (Bowersock) Watson

Gloria J. Watson age 67, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at UH Samaritan Medical Center.  She was born September 6, 1952 in Ashland the daughter of Forrest and Ruth (Smith) Bowersock.  Gloria had been a lifelong resident of Ashland. She had been employed with Eagle Rubber Co. and later Hedstrom Plastics where she retired.  Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and sitting on her porch watching her grandchildren play.  She was a former member of Bethel Baptist Church and had attended Calvary Baptist Church. 

On July 28, 1973 Gloria married Roger D. Watson Sr. who preceded her in death in 2014.  Survivors include her son, Roger D. Watson Jr. of Ashland; her daughter, Christine Watson of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jay Watson, Heather Watson, and Melisha Watson; great grandchildren, Gage Watson, Colton Watson, Ruthie Watson, Brayden Watson, Reagan Watson and Jax Woods; her sister, Laverne (Jim) Walsh; along with several nieces and nephews including a special niece Kimberly Ramey.

In addition to her husband Roger, Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Due to the current health crisis there will be private family services with Pastor Harry Strachan officiating.  Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park.
