Harold D. Pickering

Harold D. Pickering age 77 of Nankin, passed away on Tuesday June 21, 2022 at his residence following a period of declining health and kidney failure.

Born in Lodi, Ohio on August 9, 1944 the son of Ted and Mary (Finley) Pickering he was a Ashland County resident all of his life.

Mr. Pickering attended the Ashland High School and was an employee of his beloved HYCO for 28 years. He was a very proud man who loved mowing his yard and in his younger years, detailing cars.

On August 8, 1976 Harold was married to Linda K. Baker who survives.

In addition to his wife Linda, he is also survived by three children; Patricia (Bobby) Clemons of Ashland, Sheri Charlie of Ashland and Travis (Angelene) Pickering also of Ashland.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Two sister’s also survive; Marge (Tom) Lawrence of Ashland and Karen (Richard) Oeken of Ashland.

Mr. Pickering is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jonathan Pickering; two brothers and one sister, Richard Pickering, Robert Pickering and Jean Lieter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 27, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Fusion officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 am till the time of the funeral service at the funeral home on Monday. A private family burial will follow the funeral service in the Ashland County Memorial Park.
