Henry Jackson Markley

Henry J. (Jack) Markley age 74 of Mansfield, passed away at Ohio Health Mansfield on Monday February 8, 2021.

Born in Ashland on December 29,1946 the son of Henry J. and Ethel (Good) Markley Sr. he was a Richland County resident most of his life. Jack had been employed at the Mansfield Tire Company and retired from Myers Pump. He was also a veteran, serving his country as a member of the United States Army.

On December 26, 1971, he was married to Joyce Farst who survives.

In addition to his wife Joyce he is survived by twins; Julie (Dan) Freebern of Ashland and Jeff Markley of Mansfield. Also surviving are six grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.

Two brothers and one brother in law also survive; Tim (Joni) Markley of Ashland, Ron (Mary) Markley of Ashland and John Hicks of Ashland.

Mr. Markley is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandy Hicks.

Funeral services will be held on Friday February 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Scott officiating at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Mifflin, Ohio. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. It is asked that anyone attending either events wear a mask and practice social distancing while attending. For those unable to attend the funeral service it will be live streamed on the Faith Lutheran Church of Millersburg Facebook page.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Mt. Zion cemetery in Lucas.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Jack's name to either of the following organizations; St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 26 Maine Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 or Madison Township EMS, 801 Belmont Avenue, Mansfield Ohio 44906
