Irma J. (McBride) Whittemire

Irma J. Whittemire, 93, of Ashland passed away on October 16, 2020 at
Kingston of Ashland.

Born on August 27, 1927 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of the late Lawrence McBride and Violet (Ricer) McBride. On February 01, 1947, she married Oscar O. Whittemire, who passed away on July 29,1977. She was married to Floyd Whittemire on December 24, 1983 and he preceded her in death on October 10, 1984.
Irma was a member of the Ashland Eagles #2178 Auxiliary and life member of Perrysville VFW #8586 Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Church of Christ. Irma loved sewing and baking for others.

Surviving is one son and daughter in law, whom Irma treated as a daughter, Thomas (Jean) Whittemire of Rowsburg. Also surviving is one granddaughter, Tiffani Morgan of Ashland; step grandchildren, Nathan (Lauren) Chandler of Mohicanville and Nicole Robertson of Butler. Three great grandchildren also survive, Jordan Detillion of Mansfield, Clyde Robertson and David Robertson of Butler. Two great great grandchildren, Mason and Oliver Detillion, special friend Diana Baker and two sisters, Sandy Markham and Lana McBride also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, two sons Ronald and Timothy Whittemire, daughter, Tamela Holinger and three brothers and one sister.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
