James (Jim) E. Kiser age 67 of Ashland, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on January 27, 2023.
Born in Ashland on November 1, 1955 the son of Russ and Mary (Conley) Kiser, Jim was a resident of Ashland County all of his life. He had been employed at Hydromatic Pump for 27 years. He was also employed at Ariel Corporation for thirteen and a half years until his retirement in 2019.
On June 25, 1976, Jim was married to Betty Watkins who survives.
In addition to his wife Betty, he is survived by one daughter Alexa Kiser of Ashland and one sister, Cindy Warner of Ashland. Two granddaughters Harper and Olivia also survive. Numerous nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins also survive. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Luey
Jim is proceeded in death by his grandparents, parents and one brother Randy Kiser.
Mr. Kiser was an employee of the Paradise Hills Golf course for 40 years where he played in the Monday Couples League and also on the Tuesday Night Men’s League. He was a graduating member of Ashland High School Class of 1974. Other memberships include Ashland Eagles #2178, Mr. Kiser was a member of the Monday Night King Lanes Bowling League and a fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. He was an avid Deer Hunter and enjoyed going to gun shows, coin shows and card shows. He also enjoyed collecting antiques and garage sales with his wife Betty.
A time of visitation will be held at the Heyl Funeral Home on Thursday February 2, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Celebration of life will be at a later date.
