Janet L. Bilger

Janet Louise Bilger age 84 of Ashland, passed away on August 8, 2020 following a battle with cancer.
Born in Ashland on October 2, 1935 the daughter of Roy and Martha (Picking) Meyers. She had been a resident of Ashland County all of her life where she was a Registered Nurse for forty years.

On October 7, 1956 Janet was married to Ronald Bilger who survives.

In addition to her husband Ronald, she is survived by one daughter and son in law, Kim (Steve) Lykins of Westlake,Ohio; sister and brother in law Mary (Dudley) Riggle of Brookfield Wisconsin; sister Laurie Huston of Westerville and one half brother, Elmer Meyers of Vermillion, Ohio. Also surviving is one granddaughter, Erica (Jake) Stabl of Avon, Ohio and two great grandchildren Jaden and Kaitlyn Stabl. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Richard Meyers.

Janet was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on the Alter Guild and was a member of Study Club.

Janet loved baking Christmas Cookies for her friends and was an excellent cook.

Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday August 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kevin McClain officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at the church. A private family burial will follow at the Ashland County Memorial Park.
