Jeannette (Allman) McCoy

     Jeannette McCoy, age 94 of Ashland, OH., passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Hospice House of North Central Ohio.  The daughter of Alfred L. and Carrie (Keitel) Allman she was born November 26, 1921 in Canton, OH.  Mrs. McCoy had been a resident of Ashland County since the 1940’s.  She had been employed with National Latex and later with F.E. Myers for 25 years as a buyer before retiring.  She was a member of the 1^st United Methodist Church, Ashland Eastern Star, and volunteered at Samaritan Hospital and the American Red Cross.

     On November 1, 1942, Jeannette married William “Bill” E. McCoy who preceded her in death January 7, 2014.  She is survived by her daughter, Mindy (Kirk) Johnston of Ashland; two granddaughters: Jamie (Rick) Brightbill and Kari (Chad) Emmons; and five great-grandchildren: Carter and Clair Brightbill, Reed, Lyla, and Hayes Emmons.  Jeannette was preceded in death also by her parents.

     Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday February 13, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Michael Koch officiating.  Entombment will be at Ashland County Memorial Park Mausoleum.  The family will have visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio 1050 Dauch Dr. Ashland, Ohio 44805.
