John W Hochstetler

John W. Hochstetler age 76 of Ashland, passed away on July 3, 2020.

Born in Ashland on October 9, 1943 the son of Homer and Viola Hochstetler he had been a Ashland resident all of his life.
Mr. Hochstetler had been employed as a truck driver for Archway Cookies.

On August 21,1966 John was married to Julia Utsinger who survives.

In addition to his wife Julia, John is survived by two sons; Ricky Hochstetler of Ashland and Joseph Hochstetler also of Ashland.
One grandchild also survies Taylor Hochstetler of Louisiana.
He is also survived by one brother, Paul Hochstetler of Georgia and one sister Lucille Laird of St. Louis, Missouri.

Mr. Hochstetler is preceded in death by four siblings.

John served his country as a member of the United States Army, serving two tours in Viet Nam. He was also a member of the Ashland VFW Post 1067 and a member of the Gold Wing Riders Association.

A celebration of John's life will be held at a Heyl Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Don Earlenbaugh officiating, friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Military honors will be presented by the Ashland Veterans Honor Guard.
